The application deadline for the Gilder Lehrman Institute’s 2007 Summer Teacher Seminars is February 15th. These seminars afford teachers an opportunity to study important topics in American history with eminent scholars at major institutions including Harvard, Columbia, Stanford, Oxford, Cambridge, and the University of Virginia. Topics range from the Founding Era to the Cold War. Seminars are tuition-free and offer a $400 stipend to help offset travel costs.
These weeklong seminars provide teachers with intellectual stimulation and a collaborative context for developing practical resources and strategies to take back to the classroom.
