On behalf of the American Historical Association, we would like to encourage historians to submit proposals for the 2008 Annual Meeting, to be held Jan. 3-6, 2008, in Washington, D.C. As Chair and Co-Chair of the Program Committee, we are committed to increasing the geographic and thematic diversity of its offerings. Members might consider repeating particularly successful sessions from specialist conferences as a way to bring the latest work in their fields to colleagues who work in other historical sub-discipline. More detailed information about the 2008 annual meeting, including the call for papers, is available on the AHA website. The deadline for online proposal submissions is Feb. 15, 2007.
