The Diálogos Latinoamericanos journal invites papers for the fall 2007 issue. The thematic focus of this issue will be on the relationships between social memory, national identity, and political subjects in a Latin-American context. We are particularly interested in papers 1) that explore conflicting memories of the dictatorships in the 60s, 70s, and 80s, 2) that investigate the various roles memories take in actual political and social changes and 3) that encourage the exploration of the ways in which national identities and/or political subjects are built on the basis of collective memories of the past. Articles may be written in English, Spanish or Portuguese.
