HISTORIC CONTEXT STATEMENT AND FIELD GUIDE TO SURVEY EVALUATION FOR THE LOS ANGELES HISTORIC RESOURCES SURVEY
On behalf of the City of Los Angeles’ Office of Historic Resources, I am very pleased to announce the official launch of the Los Angeles Historic Resources Survey - a project we believe to be one of the most exciting historic preservation initiatives in the nation. The Survey promises to serve as the centerpiece of a comprehensive historic preservation program for the City of Los Angeles - a program spearheaded by a new Office of Historic Resources within Los Angeles’ Department of City Planning. This project is made possible through a generous grant from The J. Paul Getty Trust and the invaluable technical and advisory support of the Getty Conservation Institute (GCI), which will also administer this contract. The RFP document can be viewed and downloaded at http://cityplanning.lacity.org, under New Features.
