On behalf of the City of Los Angeles’ Office of Historic Resources, I am very pleased to announce the official launch of the Los Angeles Historic Resources Survey - a project we believe to be one of the most exciting historic preservation initiatives in the nation. The Survey promises to serve as the centerpiece of a comprehensive historic preservation program for the City of Los Angeles - a program spearheaded by a new Office of Historic Resources within Los Angeles’ Department of City Planning. This project is made possible through a generous grant from The J. Paul Getty Trust and the invaluable technical and advisory support of the Getty Conservation Institute (GCI), which will also administer this contract.
