Editor of World Empires, a five-volume reference work to be published by Facts on File, is seeking academic contributors. This definitive work will include approximately 150 empires covering all regions of the world and ranging in time from ancient times to the present. Entries still remain unassigned for several of the empires which include the American, Arab, Chinese (Song Dynasty, Tang Dynasty, and Xixia Dynasty). Danish, Ghaznavid, Kushan, Majapahit, Phoenician, Phrygian, Portuguese, Russia, Safavid, Serbian, Slavic, Spartan, and Timurid Empires.

Each entry will include information on an extensive range of subjects including the general history of the empire, warfare, government, religion, economy, law, culture, education, art, architecture, labor, language, science, and other topics.

Contributors will receive full editorial credit, a modest cash honorarium and/or copy of the encyclopedia set (depending on contribution length).
