The American Studies Association's Committee on Ethnic Studies Programs is seeking potential panelists for a proposed session at the ASA Annual Meeting (Philadelphia, October 11-14) on liminal spaces. We are thinking literally of spaces--not just in the figurative sense--in which different kinds of people temporarily mingle, such as hotel lobbies, airports, festivals, and so forth, especially individuals of different national or cultural backgrounds. Please send proposals of no more than 250 words in an e-mail attachment, as well as a brief statement of qualifications.
