Scholars interested in African studies have not properly addressed the issues of Technology, knowledge and Environment in Africa in view of recent developments in the world. An aspect of the developments is the pace of economic globalization and the seeming conflict between man’s quest to satisfy his needs and the requirement to maintain a balance with the environment. The Global Africa Foundation and the Department of History invite papers that explore all aspects of Technology, Knowledge and Environment in Africa. Papers that address issues from a multi-disciplinary angle will be welcomed.
The issues to be addressed are not restricted to the sub-themes alone. Intending participant should submit an abstract of about 250 words in electronic form to conferenceoctober@yahoo.com on or before 30th April 2007. Full paper should be sent on or before 30th September 2007.

Venue: Main Campus, Nasarawa State University,Keffi, Nigeria. Keffi is about 45 minutes drive from Abuja, the national capital of Nigeria
Registration for foreign participants is $100 and a participant from Africa is N5000
