REMINDER: The deadline for the call for papers for the 4th Annual McGill-Queen's Graduate Student Conference in History is on January 12, 2007.
The conference will be held on the March 16 and 17, 2007 at Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario. We encourage submissions from students of all historical periods and places, working in either French or English, on the broad theme of “Alternate Approaches.”
The keynote address will be given by Professor Franca Iacovetta, an Associate Professor of History at the University of Toronto. She is a Canadian social and feminist historian whose research is informed by international scholarship and scholarly debates, and comparative and transnational perspectives. She is the author of the upcoming book Gatekeepers: The Politics of Citizenship in Cold War Canada (Toronto: Between the Lines, 2006).
Proposals should not exceed 250 words, should be accompanied by a short biographical sketch, and may be submitted in either French or English. The deadline for submissions is 12 January 2007.
