NEH Summer Institute: Public History/African-American History

The Public History Program at the University of South Carolina announces that it will host an NEH Summer Institute on public history. The institute is designed to help college teachers integrate public history into their undergraduate teaching. The thematic focus will be “African-American History as Public History: South Carolina as a Case Study.” The institute will be held over a four-week period from July 9 to August 3, 2007 in Columbia and Charleston, South Carolina.
