This anthropology and archaeology field school in Kenya directed by Sibel Kusimba, Northern Illinois University, Chapurukha Kusimba of The Field Museum, and Dr. Simiyu Wandibba of the University of Nairobi. It will run from May 20- June 28, 2007. The field school will introduce undergraduate and beginning graduate students to field methods as they participate in research on Iron Age and historic societies of eastern Africa. The field school is located in Kimilili, Kenya, in Western Kenya. Students can receive academic credit through Northern Illnois University's External Programs Office of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. Application fee includes room, board and six units of undergrad or graduate credit. Application form is available at the below website. A limited number of scholarships, including airfare, tuition, and a stipend, are available to students based on ethnic background, merit and /or financial need.
