The Maryland Historian welcomes paper submissions for its spring 2007 issue. Scholars in all fields of history are encouraged to submit research papers to this diverse, open-forum volume. This is an opportunity to publish your work in an established academic journal. Submissions will be accepted through January 20, 2007.
The Maryland Historian is a refereed journal of general history, edited and published since 1970 by graduate students in the Department of History at the University of Maryland. We seek contributions from faculty, advanced PhD students, and independent scholars in all fields of history. Past published authors include David Grimsted, Ian Tyrell, Patrick Rael, Douglas Chambers, Deborah Weiner, and many others. Recent themed issues featured submissions related to "Race and Nation," "Slavery and the Atlantic World," "Revolutions that Have Made Our World," "The History of American Political Culture," and most recently, “Historians beyond the Ivory Tower.”
The Maryland Historian welcomes electronic submissions at marylandhistorian@yahoo.com. Alternatively, manuscripts should be submitted on a Windows formatted 3.5" floppy or ZIP disc. Manuscripts are sent "blind" to referees; please put your name only on the title page.
