Urayoán Noel is the author of two books of poetry as well as the poetry performance dvd Kook Logic Sessions: Poems, Pop Songs, Laugh Tracts (Bilingual 2005), a collaboration with composer Monxo López. His poetry has appeared in a wide range of anthologies and publications in the United States and in Latin America. Born in San Juan, Puerto Rico he lives in the Bronx, and is a PhD. candidate in Spanish at New York University, where he is completing his dissertation on Nuyorican poetry and performance from the 1960s to the present.
