We are soliciting manuscripts and proposals for an edited collection entitled Re-imagining Oz.
We seek well-crafted, original essay-length creative nonfiction that responds to or explores or rewrites the story of the Wizard of Oz. We are looking for pieces that engage the story or its elements, or respond to the personal and cultural signifcance of Oz in all its forms—the original book series, film(s) and musicals, book take-offs such as Wicked and Was, or its several material forms. We encourage lyrical narratives, personal histories, playful commentaries, multi-genre pieces and other experimentations in form.
