The Historisches Lexikon Bayerns is a multimedia online encyclopedia of Bavarian history.
All articles are expert written and only posted after a formal process of review. The first completed part covers the Weimar Republic with several hundred articles. The encyclopedia is growing continuously and offers reliable information on political history as well as economic developments, culture, literature, religion, military. Many entries also contain information on nation-wide developments such as the rise of national socialism. Each article offers multimedia documents, a bibliography and links to related websites.
