You are cordially invited to participate in an exciting venture that the YCS Institute is planning in April 2007. The YCS in conjunction with the MBI, are organizing a scientific and cultural exchange visit exploring infant mental health with early childhood mental health professionals and university partners in Argentina! This trip will provide us with an opportunity to visit with colleagues in Argentina, explore the field of infant mental health in that country, share the current trends and advances from the United States, and at the same time enjoy the many exciting offerings in the culturally rich and fun-loving city we visit. The trip will be sponsored by the YCS Institute, in conjunction with The Martin Buber Institute and with the cooperation of faculty from the University of Palermo, The University of the Madres of Plaza de Mayo and the University of Buenos Aires. Faculty from psychology programs at other universities will also participate. Practitioners, researchers and other professionals from different agencies, including government officials and non-government organizations will participate in our exchange. Among the planned activities are:1. Scientific meetings with faculty, professionals and other practitioners. We will invite members of our delegation to prepare to speak about their work and share insights from the field.
2. Field visits to clinics, hospitals and mental health centers
3. Culture, meals, tours and entertainment, including Tango nights and Gaucho meals!
