President-elect Felipe Calderón will take office on the first of December. Calderón has laid out a plan for reform in the coming years, pledging to tackle poverty, create jobs and promote equality. Within the context of continued tension following the election, what are the prospects for reform and development for the new government? Moreover, what are the prospects for further consolidation of the still new democratic system?
