In order to promote research, intellectual production and to encourage academic exchanges, Artefact is pleased to invite graduate students to propose papers for the 7th Annual Graduate Student Conference which will take place in February 2007. Submissions on any topic related to the disciplines of the Department of History at Laval University (Archaeology, Archival Studies, Ethnology, Art History, Museology) are welcome.
Proposals must include a 20-line abstract (including a short contextualization, a clear problem and the main ideas of your statement), the author's name, affiliation and contact information, as well as an indication for any equipment needed (slides projector, overhead projector or multimedia projector). Proposals should be electronically at artefact@hst.ulaval.ca by November 20th, 2006.
Proposers will receive a response from the organizing comittee by mid-December 2006. Abstracts will be placed on our website. Those wishing to have their papers published will have the opportunity to submit a text for the 7th Annual Graduate Student Conference Proceedings.
