I am interested in putting together a panel on the cultural significance of dreams and/or visions in the lives of people in Asia for the 2007 ASCJ, to be held at Meiji Gakuin University in Tokyo, June 23 to 24, 2007. Papers with any Asian geographical or temporal focus are sought to accompany my own paper, which will discuss the recorded dreams of the eighteenth-century Indian ruler, Tipu Sultan, who was a Muslim.
The panel should ideally comprise three or four presenters and a discussant.
The deadline for submission of panel proposals to the conference is November 25, 2006.
If you are interested, please contact Kate Brittlebank, email: kate.brittlebank@utas.edu.au.
