Call for Papers: Comparative Case Studies on Counter-Terrorism

The next International American Political Science Association annual conference will be held in downtown Chicago, IL on 30 August – 2 September 2007. I am currently soliciting proposals for individual papers on research relating to counter-terrorist strategies and approaches for an International Security and Arms Control Section panel. I encourage comparative, inter-disciplinary and cross-national research on topics such as:
• International intelligence cooperation in counter-terrorism
• Regional approaches to counter-terrorism (e.g., EU, Asian perspectives, etc.)
• The shifting character of warfare and counter-terrorism
• New missions and roles of military and intelligence forces.
Submissions should include a title, an abstract of no more than 300 words, name(s) of the author(s), institutional affiliation and current position, contact details and email addresses. Please submit an electronic copy of your abstract (in MS Word format) by 10 November 2006 to: aws_group1@hotmail.com. Final decisions will be announced in early March 2007.
