REQUEST FOR SUBMISSIONS FOR ENCYCLOPEDIA OF RELIGION AND VIOLENCE

Dear Colleagues:

Recently I signed a contract to produce a three volume Encyclopedia on Religion and Violence with M.E. Sharpe. It builds upon my scholarly interests on political and criminal violence. Undoubtedly this is a huge undertaking (150-300 entries), but I think when completed it will produce an excellent contribution to the literature. I am soliciting entries from subject matter experts. Lengths vary from 2,000-10,000 words depending on the importance of the subject matter. Assignments will be made more or less on a first come first serve basis. There will be remuneration/honorariums for contributors based on the number of words that they produce. These will be comparable to the kinds of rates that our colleagues have offered for similar projects. Initial deadlines will be 90 days from your agreement to contribute. Failure to deliver may mean reassignment of entry. Please let me know if a particular entry interests you. Comments on this projects and suggestions for topics are always appreciated.
