Consideration will be given to contributions analysing the extent to which pre- and post-return conditions have impacted on returnees’ patterns of reintegration and preparation for return. The point is to highlight the factors which have contributed to or hampered the ability of migrants to secure their return prospects. This approach applies equally to migrants who individually decided to return to their country of origin and to those who were forced to by the authorities of their destination country.
Contributions from various disciplines (anthropology, demography, economics, geography, law, political science, and sociology) are invited. While preference will be given to contributions dealing with countries in the Euro-Mediterranean area and Africa, comparative approaches spanning other continents may be accepted.
Deadline for submission of abstracts (300 words): December 15 2006
