Call for Papers: Pacific Sociological Association: Represent: Race, Gender and Identity in Hip-Hop Music and Culture
2007 PSA Meeting – Oakland – Marriott City Center, March 29 – April 1 2007
Presentation proposals are now being accepted for Represent: Race, Gender and Identity in Hip-Hop Music and Culture, a session of the 2007 Pacific Sociological Association meeting in Oakland, CA, March 29th – April 1st 2007. The session organizer seeks presentations from faculty and/or graduate students who are currently involved in research around Hip-Hop music and culture that specifically consider issues of race, gender and/or identity. All disciplines are welcome!
Please send presentation titles and abstracts of 200-250 words via mail or e-mail (e-mail is greatly preferred) by November 3rd 2006 to Michael Barnes at the addresses below. Make sure to include home department and institutional affiliation with your proposal.
