Based on the decision of the General Assembly of FIEALC - Federación Internacional de estudios sobre América Latina y el Caribe - in Rome 2005, the Macao Association for the Promotion of Exchange between Asia-Pacific and Latin America, will take the responsibility to host the 13th Congress for the first time in Macau, China. Papers and panels are encouraged to focus on interaction and comparison between the two continents, as well as interdisciplinary studies. There are 10 recommended pillars:
- Social and human development;
- Economy & technology;
- Political development;
- Law and Justice;
- International relations;
- Globalization;
- Culture;
- Literature;
- History;
- Macau as a platform- its bridging role between China and Latin America from history, present to the future;
The panel proponents should submit their forms before the 15th of November 2006 and the individual paper presenters before the 15th February 2007.
