The exhibition "In the Beginning: Bibles Before the Year 1000" offers a unique opportunity to examine issues in the production, use, and iconic status of biblical manuscripts from the second to tenth centuries over a vast geographical expanse. An internationally distinguished group of speakers explores aspects of book culture, collectors and collections of biblical manuscripts, and particular manuscripts displayed in the exhibition.
