The sixth annual New Sweden History conference on Saturday, October 14, 2006 at Gloria Dei (Old Swedes') Church marks the Swedish Colonial Society’s publication of the first two volumes of the records of Gloria Dei Church and the other early Swedish Lutheran churches of Pennsylvania. The program features lectures from historians Peter S. Craig, Charles B. Tonetti and Kim-Eric Williams.

The conference’s on-going goals are to bring New Sweden’s history to a broad audience, stimulate new research and publication about New Sweden, especially by younger scholars in Sweden and the United States, and preserve the records of New Sweden’s history and make them available to teachers, genealogists, avocational and academic historians, students and the public at large.
