On December 11 the Early Modern History Seminar and the School of History, University of Liverpool will be hosting a half-day workshop on
'The English Church 1520-1660'
2.30-3.30pm Dave Postles (University of Leicester) talking on 'Last years in the
Catholic diocese of Lichfield: 1520-47'.
3.45-4.45pm Natalie Mears (University of Durham) 'The C of E as CNN: Prayer Books
and the Public Sphere in Elizabethan England'
5-6pm Alex Craven (Manchester Met. University) 'Ministers of State: The Church in
All talks will take place in Seminar Room 1, School of History, University of Liverpool, 9 Abercromby Square, Liverpool. Papers will last approx. 40mins with 20 mins for discussion. The event is free and open to all interested scholars. However, if you are planning to attend you should contact the workshop organiser.
