The National Archives presents a public symposium featuring eyewitness perspectives of the Cold War. Sessions include Cold War Ideologies: The Struggle for Hearts and Minds, Cold War Mediation: Unraveling the Knots of War, Cold War Reporting: Global Views and Results, and Cold War Espionage: Through the Looking Glass. Scheduled to speak are Archivist of the United States Allen Weinstein, Ambassador Harlan Cleveland, Ronald Radosh, Ellen Schrecker, Timothy Naftali, Sergei Khrushchev, Susan Eisenhower, Ted Sorensen, Ralph Begleiter, Daniel Schorr, Gene Mater, Thomas C. Wolfe, Vladislav Zubok, Vladimir Abarinov, Herbert Romerstein, Victor Navasky, Francis Gary Powers, Jr., and Peter Earnest. Registration fee is $75.
