On-line professional development courses available for New York social studies teachers. Sponsored by "Crossroads of Change", a 3-year federally funded Teaching American History (TAH) grant, these courses use the lens of Seneca Falls, NY to provide history teachers with relevant content knowledge, teaching strategies and methods, and the skills of the historian. Courses run from October to April and provide 45 hours of professional development. For this year only, a stipend will be paid to participants completing the three courses and associated projects.
Teachers wishing to register should do so by contacting Kelli Eckdahl at keckdahl@edutech.org. Questions concerning the courses can be sent to Dr. Kevin B. Sheets, Project Director, at sheetsk@cortland.edu.
