Food is the theme of the 2007 Pacific Northwest Historians Guild Conference which takes place Saturday, March 3, 2007 at the Museum of History and Industry in Seattle. Food as commodity, as sustenance, as a marker of social class and instrument of political change, and as art form--all the varied manifestations of food and food history in the Pacific Northwest will be explored at this conference.
