I hope that you will be interested in presenting or putting together a panel at the April 16-20, 2007 George Wright Society Conference in St. Paul for managers of protected lands: "Rethinking Protected Areas in a Changing World."
The Environmental and Cultural Justice Working Group encourages a broad swath of submissions relating justice with natural and cultural parks and reserves, such as “Conservation Across La Linea: Protecting The Tijuana Estuary”; “Gathering: Food, Baskets, Ceremony . . . and Regulations”; “African Burial Ground: Making a New National Monument”; or “Ethnicity, Gender and Recreation Patterns: Managing for Diversity.”
The abstracts deadline is October 6, 2006 for panels, papers, and workshops. Abstracts should be no more than 150 words. For more information, please see the full conference announcement below, or the conference website at http://www.georgewright.org/2007.html.
