Background
Florida Association for Women Lawyers and Career Services at St. Thomas is requesting the submission of papers regarding all aspects of Gender and Sexuality as they relate to the law. The Organizing Committee will review conference papers and may consider them for publication. The recipient of the best paper will also be given a $200 stipend.
Topics
We particularly encourage papers exploring the following topics:
„X Sexuality and Health Issues: access to medicines and health care
„X Sexuality and Orientation: lesbian and gay issues, queer activism, transgender movements and transsexual movements
„X Sexuality and Power: legal issues/cases, legislation/policy making
„X Sexuality and Work: discrimination, sexuality, and the workplace
Proposal
You are invited to submit a proposal for a 10 minute power point presentation on any aspect of the conference theme or related topics. Panels and poster presentations also will be considered. The proposal (one page maximum) must include: name(s), personal title(s), institutional affiliation(s), paper title, abstract (100 word maximum), biographical details of presenter(s) (100 word maximum), and contact details. Deadline for submissions is October 15th, 2006.
