The World's Fairs and Expositions Section of the Popular Culture Association (PCA) is accepting papers for its next annual meeting, April 4-7, 2007, at the Boston Marriott Copley Place, Boston, Massachusetts. Scholars from numerous disciplines will meet to share their Popular Culture research and interests.
The World's Fairs and Expositions Area is soliciting papers dealing with any aspect of Popular Culture. The section interests include any aspect of world fairs and international exhibitions, back to 1851; garden expositions; entennial celebrations; carnivals; and any aspect of the fair culture. Controversy will not be shunned!
We particularly encourage graduate students to apply for this wonderful opportunity to share their research. Travel grant applications are available through PCA. See: http://www.popularculture.org
Submission of complete panels also welcome.
The World's Fairs and Expositions Section has been an active part of the Popular Culture Association national conferences since 1992 and looks forward to another active and successful meeting in Boston 2007. Hope you can join us!
