MONDAY 7th of AUGUST marks the deadline date for all Early Bird entries to the 19th Seagate Foyle Film Festival which will run from the 10th – 19th November 2006.

Entries received between August 8th and August 23d will incur a charge of £5, and a £10 fee will be applied to those received by September 4th. A fee of £20 will be charged for entries received by the extended and final deadline of September 8th.

This year the 19th Seagate Foyle Film Festival will host the competition for the prestigious Stella Artois Film Awards in the categories of: Best Irish Short, Best International Short, Best Animation, Best Documentary, and Best Short Feature.

Since the Seagate Foyle Film festival is accepted by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Science as a qualifying festival, the winners of the Best Irish Short and Best Animation categories will immediately qualify for consideration for an Academy Award.
