Call for Authors: Encyclopedia of US Latino/a History
Recently, I was asked to serve as editor for Facts on File's Encyclopedia of US Latino/a History project. My co-editor in this endeavor will be Dr. Ana Luisa Martinez of the University of Texas at Permian Basin. We both expect this undertaking to be a landmark set, a definitive reference that will endure for many years.
With this goal in mind, we are presently making our third call for contributors. Contributors will be compensated at the rate of ten cents per word. Please note the following schedule for receipt of articles:
1) Items of 500 words or less will be due 90 days after signing your contract.
2) Items of 501 words to 1500 words will be due in 120 days after signing your contract.
3) Items of 1501 words or more will be due in 150 days after signing your contract.
We will be happy to send you a list of terms still available and a style guide. Please contact us at:

We look forward to working with you.
