JSTOR and the Future of Online Information for Researchers. The Research Information Network is running a workshop on 12 September 2006 in London with JSTOR to for representativesof both the library and the research communities in the UK to discuss how online information sources are changing research and the challenges that poses both for researchers and for libraries; and within that broad context to discuss with JSTOR the development of their content and the kinds of services they offer. It is not intended to "sell" JSTOR, but rather to consider the broader context within which it is operating, and the changes that are taking place in the ways in which research in the humanities and social sciences is now being conducted. Speakers at the workshop include Marcus Walsh, Professor of English at Liverpool; Dr Ian Archer, Fellow of Keble COllege Oxford; Dr Paul Ayris, Librarian of University College London; and representatives of JSTOR and of the Research Information Network.
The workshop will be held at the Royal Institute of British Architects, and further information about free registration is available at http://www.iceconferences.com/jstor.
