Morris D. Forkosch Prize
The Journal of the History of Ideas is pleased to announce the co-winners of the Morris D. Forkosch Prize ($2000) for the best book in intellectual history published in 2005:
Ethan C. Kleinberg, for his _Generation Existential: Heidegger’s Philosophy in France, 1927-1961_ (Cornell University Press), and
Samuel Moyn, for his _Origins of the Other: Emmanuel Levinas between Revelation and Ethics_ (Cornell University Press).
The awards committee favors books which are published by any author in English and which display some interdisciplinary range, demonstrate sound scholarship, and make an original contribution to the history of thought and culture.
