Proposals are sought for a new edited collection tentatively titled, Jews and Sex. Possible contributions could include, but are not limited to, the following:
The involvement of Jewish men and women in pornography
The role of Jewish women in the anti-pornography movement
Sexual liberationists
Jews in the women’s liberation movement
Jews in the gay and lesbian "movement"
Love Parades in Israel
Homosexuality in Israel
Lesbian parenting in Israel
Jewish gay and lesbian writers
Homosexuality in Orthodoxy
Freud
Sex within American and British fiction
Sex in Israeli Fiction
Sex in Yiddish fiction
Bundist attitudes towards sexuality
Jewish birth control campaigners
The involvement of Jews in the pro-Choice movement
Jewish anarchist attitudes to "free love"
Visions of Jews as sexually exotic
Anti-Semitic propaganda
Jews as sex symbols in the movies, and the reverse
Jewish involvement in prostitution
Please send proposals (maximum 400 words), accompanied by a brief biography or CV by September 30th, 2006.
