The organizers of the Midwest Medieval History Conference invite proposals for papers to be submitted at our forty-fifth annual meeting, to be hosted by

Frederick Suppe will give the plenary address.
The conference offers an honorarium to graduate students presenting at the Friday sessions. Advanced graduate students and professional scholars from all fields of history are invited to submit proposals for the Saturday sessions. Papers focusing on continuities and discontinuities in medieval history are particularly welcome. Possible topics could include connections or the lack thereof between ruling dynasties; between city and countryside; between the early and late Middle Ages; between the Middle Ages and Antiquity or the Renaissance; between present and past approaches to medieval history, etc.
Proposals are due by 31 July 2006. Please send an abstract of no more than 350 words with your name, the day for which you are submitting, and contact information (including e-mail) to:
