The editors of the Retrospect, the graduate student journal of the University of Texas at Dallas chapter of the Phi Alpha Theta, are inviting submissions for the inaugural online issue concerning the frontiers of history. The goal of the issue is to explore the transdisciplinary connections across the various boundaries and frontiers in order to create a broad appreciation for the field of historical studies. These frontiers may include but are not limited to methodologies, disciplines, periods, events, regions, genders, ethnicities, races, and cultures. The intention, then, is to investigate the demarcation of historic ideas, concepts, or events so that we may challenge the resulting boundaries. We encourage submissions from graduate students and junior scholars, but we accept submissions from all scholars.
Please submit a curriculum vitae and an abstract (250-300 words) with your article to: papersubmissions@gmail.com with “submission to journal” in the subject line. Manuscripts should follow Chicago Style and be prepared for blind review. Retrospect uses Word documents; please include your surname in the filename.
