West Virginia History, for 60 years published by the WV Department of Archives and History, is moving to West Virginia University's Department of History. Prof. Ronald L. Lewis, the Robbins Chair in History, will serve as the new editor and Ken Fones-Wolf will serve as the associate editor. The journal plans to enlarge the scope of its mission to examine the history, politics, language, literature and cultural identity of the people in the state and its region. It will be published twice a year, with the first issue slated for spring 2007.
West Virginia History encourages the submission of articles that examine the conomy, society, and culture of the Mountain State or link the state to national and international processes of change. The editors also seek to develop a list of potential reviewers for books and manuscripts. Please contact the editors.
