In cooperation with Hsuan Chuang University iบ๗ๅ{jof Taiwan, Prof. Yu Ling-Po Memorial Lecture will host a Chinese Buddhist Summer Camp in Hsinchu, Taiwan in the summer of 2006. The aim of the summer camp is to promote cross-cultural and cross-religious understanding. With the summer camp, students will have the chance to experience and learn about Chinese Buddhism in Chinese Buddhist monastic settings. There will be lectures in Chinese Buddhism, meditation, cultural tours to local village and local religious (non-Buddhist) temples, opportunities to participate in Chinese Buddhist rituals, etc. As the aim of this camp is to increase cross-cultural and cross-religious understanding, students do not need to have prior knowledge to Chinese language, custom or Buddhism. Students of all backgrounds and faiths are welcome.
Dates: 3 July 2006~ 20 July 2006
Fees: All fees, including boarding, transportation, and etc., while in the Taiwan will be paid for by the sponsors.
Deposit: $100 U.S.D. or $3,000 N.T.D. upon application; refundable on the completion of the program
