The International Association for the Study of Environment, Space, and Place (IASESP) is conducting a membership drive.
IASESP is an interdisciplinary associating that relates all the disciplines to the common interest in the spatiality of all phenomena. Its conferences provide an opportunity for a variety of disciplinary perspectives and the cross-fertilization of ideas. Selected papers from the conference have been expanded and published in edited volumes from Lexington Books. To date, five volumes have been produced and two are in production. See the IASESP website for further information: wwwnew.towson.edu/iasesp.
Membership for the IASESP is $30 annually. Members receive updates about IASESP conferences and publications, a conference discount, and a paperback edition of one of its volumes. Membership forms can be found on the website: wwwnew.towson.edu/iasesp. Further inquires should be sent to Gary Backhaus, backhaus.iasesp@verizon.net or John Murungi, jmurungi@towson.edu, co-founders of IASESP.
The next conference, Built Spaces: Earth-Sky and Human Praxes will be held at the Simon Silverman Phenomenology Center: Duquesne University, April 25-27, 2007.
