Call for papers for a panel proposal on Victimology/Human Rights for the 2007 ISA conference in Chicago. Papers should address case/country studies of victim/human rights, especially in the Americas (though open to other cases). The theoretical framework is the overlap of Victimology (Criminal justice) and Human Rights, considering victims’ rights from constitutional, institutional, and non-governmental perspectives. I'm especially interested in the ways various approaches and processes support, conflict with, or otherwise mutually implicate each other. Sorry for the late notice, but please respond by email (mkilburn@endicott.edu) asap as I need to submit the panel proposal by June 1.
