JSR: Journal for the Study of Radicalism announces a call for papers devoted to the theme of radicalism in music. Possible subjects include radicalism in various figures or groups in rock, folk, or other genres of music, the commodification or de-radicalization of music, the history of a particular strand of radical music, and so forth. JSR accepts articles on global topics, and we are interested in publishing articles and reviews on a wide range of related subjects and themes. While each issue of the journal will have a thematic focus, in each issue, we also will publish some articles as well as book reviews not specifically dedicated to that particular theme.
Submissions should be 20-30 pages in length and conform to the Chicago Manual of Style. Please include a one-paragraph abstract. Images for possible use in an article should be 300 dpi. Authors are responsible for requesting and receiving permission to reprint images for scholarly use.
