Among the least studied but most fascinating of fields is radicalism. The aims of this conference are to explore the multiple forms of contemporary and historical radicalism in a transnational context.
We welcome submissions from all relevant disciplinary or interdisciplinary approaches. Papers and panel-topics will be wide-ranging, and may include pacifism, violence and terrorism, religious radicalism, anarchism, environmentalist and ecological radicalism, technology and anti-technology, protest art, sexual radicalism, indigenous radicalism, anti-imperialism, "third way" political movements, corporations and radicalism, militias, right-wing movements, and anti-radicalism.
Conference to be held Jan. 25-28, 2007, Michigan State University, East Lansing, MI.
