Call for Papers for the Third Annual Conference of Rocky Mountain European Scholars, to be held 6-7 October 2006, at BYU, Provo, UT, USA. This third annual, multidisciplinary conference will provide a challenging forum for the examination and evaluation of the shifting shape and meaning of Europe. Scholars from various disciplines are invited to share their work and to interact with colleagues from throughout the Intermountain West.
Submission topics may include, but are not limited to:
European history
European languages
Europe and the arts
European popular culture
European identities
Paradoxes of Europe
The European Union
Issues of sovereignty
Nation-states and nationalist movements
Transatlantic relations
Globalization and Europe
Immigration in Europe
