CALL FOR PRESENTERS
2006 MIDWEST POPULAR CULTURE ASSOCIATION/MIDWEST AMERICAN CULTURE ASSOCIATION

AREA INFORMATION:
The Professional Development Area is seeking presenters who can facilitate or co-facilitate sessions and/or workshops devoted to all aspects of academic professional development. Topics can include job searches, job interviews, CV development, writing grants, the job application process (job announcement, cover letter, CV, letters of reference, supporting materials, etc.), presenting at conferences, writing research papers, writing for publication, professional ethical behavior, and etc. Subjects or topics targeting graduate students as well as tenured, tenure-track, and part-time college and university faculty members are welcome.
PRESENTER INFORMATION:
Submit a 1-2 page description including the (a) topic to be highlighted, (b) a 150-word (or less) abstract of what participants will gain from this information, and (c) a brief summary of your qualifications (by post, FAX, or e-mail) to the Area Chair, Angela M. Nelson. All proposals should include contact information as well as DVD player requests (we cannot supply audio equipment, slide projectors, computers, or overhead projectors).
