Theme of the Nordic Summer School in Contemporary History Nordic is Old and New Social and Political Movements. The summer school is open to Ph.D.-students from all over the world. The aim of the summer school is to make a forum for discussion of old and new social and political movements. These discussion will evolve around presentations of research and Ph.D. research projects. Some of the questions relating to the theme of the summer school will be analysed by the teachers of the summer school in a series of lectures. Some questions will be addressed in workshops in which participants are required to present relevant aspects of their own work. The summer school is, thus, meant to be a forum for discussion of research among older and younger scholars. In addition the summer school is meant to be a place for networking among young european scholars researching old and new social and political movements fascilitating future cooperation. The summer school will take place at Södertörn University College, Stockholm Sweden, August 12-17 2006.
