The Centre for Urban History invites all interested postgraduate students and new researchers to a one-day muliti-disciplinary conference devoted to the discussion of urban development through history.
Entitled "Environment and Health: Urban Pollution, Controls and Health", this year's conference marks the 50th anniversary of the Clean Air Act and will seek to make connections between the Urban Environment and Health.
Proposals for papers – including title, author’s name and institution, and c.300 word abstract – should be sent to the organisers at the Centre for Urban History, preferably as an email attachment in MS Word, by 30th July 2006. Papers should be no more than 20 minutes in length.
PLEASE NOTE – This conference is for the presentation of work by postgraduate students and new researchers; papers from established academics will not be accepted.
