"FRANCOPHONIE" * : A DIALOGUE BETWEEN CULTURES
The journal Lianes would like to contribute to the celebration of the 100th birthday of Leopold Sedar Senghor, one of the founding fathers of the "Francophonie", with its next issue which will be dealing with the following theme : “ “Francophonie” : A dialogue between cultures”.
We are seeking proposals dealing with the following subjects (but not only...):
- The “Francophonie” : A french language spiritual and cultural community; a "cultural symbiosis" uniting the values of the 5 continents together
- The “Francophonie” : a “gathering” around the french language of countries which were once under colonial supervision (Relation between the “Francophonie” and the ex-colonies etc etc)
- The Commonwealth and the “Francophonie"
- The “Francophonie” : an ideal or an ideology
- The “Francophonie” and globalization
- The geopolitical aspects of the “Francophonie”
...
The journal invites those who are interested to send their papers to us by email : revuelianes@wanadoo.fr by the 15th of May 2006, along with a brief abstract of 10 lines and the following info : name, contact number/address & a short biobibliography.
The journal accepts articles, book reviews, interviews, "accounts" or "surveys" in French and in English.

FRANCOPHONIE: LE DIALOGUE DES CULTURES
À l'occasion du centenaire de la naissance de Léopold Sedar Senghor, un des pères de la Francophonie, la revue Lianes voudrait, avec son prochain numéro, apporter sa contribution à l'évènement.
Le thème retenu : « Francophonie : le dialogue des cultures », se propose d'englober toute proposition traitant des questions suivantes (liste non-exhaustive) :
- La Francophonie : Une communauté spirituelle, culturelle… de langue française ; une « symbiose culturelle » unissant les valeurs des cinq continents…
- La Francophonie : Un rassemblement autour de la langue française des pays libérés de la tutelle coloniale (Relation entre la Francophonie et les ex-colonies etc.)
- Le Commonwealth et la Francophonie
- Francophonie : Idéal ou idéologie ?
- Francophonie et mondialisation
- Les aspects géopolitiques de la Francophonie
...
La revue LIANES invite les personnes intéressées à nous envoyer leurs articles* à revuelianes@wanadoo.fr pour le 15 mai 2006, accompagnés d'un bref résumé de 10 lignes et des informations suivantes : nom, coordonnées,courte biobibliographie.
*La revue accepte des articles, des comptes-rendus, des interviews, des témoignages ou des enquêtes en français et en anglais.
